MAHATMA GANDHI & GAUTAM BUDDHA

Recently visited Gandhi Ashram in Ahmedabad & Bodhgaya in Gaya, Bihar.

Gandhi became Mahatama on his following various spiritual principles like Love, Empathy, Truth, Non-Violence & Humbleness.

Similarly Siddarth became Buddha on his attaining enlightenment & preaching spiritual principles like Love, Compassion, Humbleness, Truth, Mindfulness, Non-Violence, Forgiveness etc.

Both emphasized training our mind, attaining the purity of the Mind & fill our mind with the positive & spiritual emotions like Love, Empathy, Compassion, Truth, Humbleness etc. & free our mind with all the negative emotions like anger, frustration, resentment, jealousy, hatred etc.

Both emphasized achieving the path of enlightenment through training our mind & not by torturing our Body by way of fasting or any other Physical torture. Gandhi did not promote fasting although he did resort to fasting for protest. Gandhi said – “Mental fasting is more important.” I read about both of them some five years ago. I could not understand if people like Mahatma Gandhi, Gautam Buddha, Mother Teresa, Vivekananda & many more existed & lived in India, why so many Asharam, Ram Rahim, Romphal scams have been happening in India since long.

Why we do not care to read about such great leaders who lived in India & who not only awakened many Indians but also various people abroad. At least 25% people all over world follow Buddha’ Principles.

There is a need to inculcate the study & teachings of various great people in the course curriculum of schools & colleges which will also promote spirituality in real sense among masses.

Vijayash Foundation creating awareness about spiritual principles through conducting various workshops & training sessions in Schools, Colleges, Govt./Private Offices, Professional Institutes, Residential Societies, Skill Centers etc.

We look for volunteers, students, senior citizens & housewives to join the above awareness campaign & help in improving the lives of people & supporting in building the INDIA as a great Nation & a better World.
